Lotus Series:

This series was inspired by a visit to Lotusland the enchanting private estate owned by the visionary Ganna Walska in Montecito, California. I took numerous photos to serve as the foundation for my Asian-inspired series. The initial artwork was crafted scanning my hand painted papers and then layering them with intricate graphic renderings. Although my first attempts involved wood engravings made on my laser cutting machine, I soon recognized the potential for superior results by creating digitally layers. This explorations marks a fresh direction in my printmaking journey a hybrid between paint and print outputted on watercolor paper and archival inks.
