The bison stands as a powerful emblem of resilience. Once driven to the brink of extinction due to our reckless exploitation and disregard for nature, this magnificent animal has been saved and now thrives under protection. Its survival is a testament to our ability to recognize, change, and reverse the damage caused by misaligned values. Through this series, I reflect on the bison’s journey from near annihilation to recovery. It prompts an urgent question: If we could alter our course for the bison, can we summon the will and collective effort to protect our planet and its endangered species? The bison’s revival offers a glimmer of hope, a reminder that it is not too late to make amends with the natural world.
